Family & Friends
The Sherwood Forest Club is steeped in a rich history, with traditions of family, friendship, and community celebrated since 1915. Its legacy began when families from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and neighboring areas gathered along the Severn River to enjoy the natural beauty and simple pleasures of summer life in the Forest. For generations, Sherwood families have returned year after year to raise their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren in the natural beauty of Sherwood. Together, we carry on these traditions while creating new memories that honor the enduring heritage and sense of belonging that life in the Forest has long inspired.
The Neighborhood
The Sherwood Forest Club is a private community just minutes from downtown Annapolis, where 341 single-family homes are nestled among the wooded hills of a 500-acre peninsula surrounded by the Severn River, its tributaries, and waters leading to the Chesapeake Bay. The community boasts a wide array of recreational facilities and amenities for both private enjoyment and organized competition allowing for an active community lifestyle enjoyed for over 100 years.
